Two Scratch files (produced using Scratch 2 offline) on the theme of racing a car round a track. Race1a is simply for practice but the pupils can alter the script to see if they can make the car go faster or make it easier or more difficult to steer. Race2a introduces 'sensing' to see if the car has 'left' the track. Things to try 1) Add a chequered flag 2) Wave the chequered flag and add a cheer when a lap is completed 3) Change the speed of the car during the race 4) Introduce a timer to see who can do a lap the quickest 5) Add a 2nd car and have a race (you may have to make the track wider)
