A blank sheet of paper (or blank screen) can be daunting for anybody. Asking pupils to create a Scratch Project without preparation is likely to result in frustration.
Planning is essential. It may involve a storyboard, a flow chart or a list of intended outcomes - or a combination of these.
Another way to avoid the 'blank page' problem is to give children projects that have already been created. They may be complete or simply starting points. Looking at projects created by others is also a good way to practise 'debugging'.
We will be adding projects and suggesting ways that they could be altered or improved.
