Ada Lovelace was Lord Byron's daughter and worked with Charles Babbage on his Analytical Engine - the forerunner of the modern computer. She was born 200 years ago in 1815 and was the first person to write a computer program.
'The Thrilling Adventures Of Lovelace And Babbage' is an excellent book that explains what happened and looks at what might have happened if she hadn't died tragically young at the age of 36 from cancer.
Terry Freedman has reviewed the book on his website and it is available from Amazon (other booksellers are available).
