Scratch 2 is the online version which can be found at scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/If you do not have an account you can save your files to the computer you are on (or the server if on a network) by selecting 'download to your computer' from the file menu. Similarly you can load files by selecting 'upload from your computer'. If you have a slow broadband connection then having multiple users connecting simultaneously may be a frustrating experience. If that is the case then you can download an 'offline' version that can be installed on computers in the school. However it also requires Adobe Air to be installed. Both can be downloaded from scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/The program can be installed on a server and run from there but the server and every client requires that Adobe Air is installed. It is actually simplest to install to one computer and then to copy the folder where the program has installed to the server. Officially Adobe Air does not deploy from the server but it is possible to create an msi that does deploy. See www.itninja.com/software/adobe/adobe-air-runtime/3-3730A list of the differences between Scratch 1.4 and Scratch 2 can be found at wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Scratch_VersionsOne of the most significant additions is the ability to add your own blocks. Further details are at wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Procedures
