In the beginning, computers worked separately. Now they are connected to other computers and can share information. The network of linked computers may be relatively close together, such as within a school. They might be linked to other computers in distant countries, sharing information in seconds. The physical structure of computers and their wired and wireless connections comprise the internet. The World Wide Web provides websites, email, social network sites etc.
